Dork Court’s Greatest Hits

Every once in a while, somebody posts a link to their intercompany Slack channel and we get a whole bunch of people from Envoy or Basis or MSNBC (Hi, Lawrence O’Donnell, Andrew Weissman, and, of course, Brad Moss) or somebody at TED reminds Mimi she did their website and realizes her husband and Dr. John Price are the Last Two Honest Star Trek Fans or whatever and a bunch of folks kill some time reading our stuff. Here’re some good ones if you want to catch up:

The SheHulk one is a great place to start. We had decided to have some content up and do a soft-launch but when the usual suspects started pooping, Mimi said, “Why wait?” and here were are. Welcome to Dork Court: “I’m going to have to start some kind of decent pop culture review site because everything is clickbait nonsense or drivel from morons or both.”

Everybody really likes it when I point and laugh at people who should know better, CONTENT PROVIDING as they do instead of offering insightful observations, quip quips, or just some heart-warmin’ platitudes. Me, I love being one of the balcony Muppets. This one where the Millennial space reporter for The Atlantic thinks it’s a good idea to live blog her watching 2001 for the first time to predictable results.

High school junior Walker Young shows up with dispatches from Generation Zoom. Footbal, AI, movies and TV, he’s got a lot of balls in the air.

I love Star Trek, but the current stewards of the modern IP do not:

Steve Uchrin shows up with his Wait! Have You Not Seen This? reviews, with 13th Warrior being a particularly entertaining article of his example. The Brotherhood of the Wolf one is excellent, too.

Ensign Crunch is the idle musings we do on the regular that is undeniably worth your time. Maritime lobbyist Brian Schoeneman loved the splicing of the mainbrace line, which legend has it is why he did the afterword in the Loose Cannon collection.

Jack LesCamala did an insightful survey of THE FALL GUY:

…that should start you off. Just surf around, search some keywords. Lots of cool stuff to read.
